Basketball Game Preview: Ponderosa Bruins vs. Union Mine Diamondbacks + How To Watch

Ponderosa is a perfect 3-0 against Union Mine since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bruins will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Diamondbacks at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Ponderosa is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Liberty Ranch. The Bruins walked away with a 75-62 victory over the Hawks on Tuesday.

Ponderosa's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jake Wycinsky, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 21 points and three steals, and Clark Woods, ll, who went 6-for-9 en route to 20 points and five boards. Those 21 points gave Wycinsky a new career-high. Bryce Wycinsky was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Union Mine didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Tokay on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 72-67 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Diamondbacks.

Union Mine's win came from a few key players Ponderosa will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cole Patterson, who went 9-for-20 on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Otte, who posted 17 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Union Mine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
