Oxford Prep won the last time they faced Kerr-Vance Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Griffins took their game with ease, bagging a 69-28 win over the Spartans. That looming 69-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Griffins yet this season.

Oxford Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zachariah Arrington, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave Arrington a new career-high. Nathan Lee was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Oxford Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kerr-Vance Academy only posted five.

Despite the loss, Kerr-Vance Academy still got an impressive performance from LJ Siplen, who put up 14 points and three steals. That was a full 50% of the Spartans' points, marking the third time in a row Siplen has earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Greenway, who had six points.

Oxford Prep's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Oxford Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-40 loss against Louisburg on the 25th. Hopefully Kerr-Vance Academy paid attention to the Griffins' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Griffins at 5:00 p.m. on the 1st.
