Football Game Preview: Fosston Greyhounds vs. Fertile-Beltrami Falcons

The Fosston Greyhounds will head out to challenge the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

36 must be Fosston's lucky number: they beat Clearbrook-Gonvick with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Greyhounds beat the Bears by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 36-30. The win was familiar territory for the Greyhounds, who have now won four games in a row.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fertile-Beltrami had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 63-0 victory over the Drakes. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five contests by 34 points or more so far this season.

Fosston's record now sits at 8-3. As for Fertile-Beltrami, their record is now 6-3.

Fosston came up short against Fertile-Beltrami in their previous matchup back in September, falling 20-14. Can the Greyhounds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
