Basketball Recap: Escalante Takes Down Altamont in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Escalante had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They snuck past the Altamont Longhorns with a 36-32 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Moquis as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Escalante's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points over those games. As for Altamont, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Looking ahead, Escalante and Milford will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Altamont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
