Alta picks up 13th straight win at home

Recap: Alta Hawks vs. Olympus Titans

The Alta Hawks had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.9 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came out on top against Olympus by a score of 56-45. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Alta has scored all year.

Alta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaxon Johnson out in front who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Johnson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Doleac, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.

Alta's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.08 points. As for Olympus, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Alta will be playing in front of their home fans against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brighton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Alta is ranked first). As for Olympus, they will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
