Basketball Recap: California Military Institute Comes Up Short

California Military Institute lost against Temecula Prep back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The California Military Institute Rough Riders lost 47-24 to the Temecula Prep Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1096th, while the Patriots are ranked 522nd).

Leading Temecula Prep to victory were Bailey Litt and Samiyah Antoine. Litt dropped a double-double on 16 points and 22 rebounds, while Antoine dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards. Litt is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Winkowski, who posted 11 points.

California Military Institute has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Temecula Prep, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

As of now, neither California Military Institute nor Temecula Prep have any future games scheduled.
