Recap: Woods Charter Wolves vs. Ascend Leadership Aviators
The Woods Charter Wolves posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Monday. They put the hurt on Ascend Leadership with a sharp 41-21 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Woods Charter, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woods Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caroline Mitchell, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley Oliver, who scored 12 points.
Woods Charter's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Ascend Leadership, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Woods Charter won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Chatham Charter is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for Ascend Leadership, they will face off against Southern Wake Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Southern Wake Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last 12 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
