Soccer Recap: LaBelle Takes a Loss

If LaBelle was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Cypress Lake last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls came up short against the Mariner Tritons on Monday, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Cowboys/Cowgirls in their matchups with the Tritons: they've now lost five in a row.

LaBelle's goal came courtesy of Santos Arreaga, who's now up to two this season.

LaBelle's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Mariner, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

LaBelle wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Gateway on the 10th. As for Mariner, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Palmetto Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Mariner is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season.
