Volleyball Recap: Labette County Comes Up Short

Labette County lost against Girard on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Grizzlies took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14.

Amery Baker paced Labette County's offense, picking up six kills. Baker got some help from Macie Morin and her six assists. Kylie Roberts controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Labette County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Girard, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Labette County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Chanute on the 20th. As for Girard, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Erie on the 20th.
