Hamden had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Lauralton Hall Crusaders 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Green Dragons in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hamden took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-11.

Bella Green paced Hamden's offense, picking up six kills. Green got some help from Tamia Walters and her 15 assists. Green was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hamden will face off against rival Branford at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lauralton Hall is set to challenge their familiar foe Hillhouse at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
