Basketball Recap: Marquette University Comes Up Short

Marquette University lost against Pewaukee back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Marquette University Hilltoppers fell 71-58 to the Pewaukee Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Pirates are ranked 15th).

Marquette University's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pewaukee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Marquette University has already played their next match, a 68-62 win against Brookfield East on the 4th. As for Pewaukee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 81-77 defeat against Greendale on the 4th.
