Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Kellam couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Granby Comets by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Kellam started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-9.

Davis Mendoza was a one-man wrecking crew For Granby. as he had 27 digs and three assists. Mendoza has been hot, having posted 17 or more digs the last seven times he's played. Will Findlay was another key player, hitting 71.4% for five kills and 51 assists and eight digs.

Kellam's defeat dropped their record down to 24-3. As for Granby, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 25-2.

Kellam does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granby, they will challenge Glen Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
