Volleyball Recap: Langford Lions vs. Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots

After flying high against Wilmot last Monday, Langford came back down to earth. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-19.

Hitchcock-Tulare was led to victory by Cambree Hoekman and Avarie Estey. Hoekman had 14 digs and two aces, while Estey had seven digs and one assist. Hoekman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Langford's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Langford will face off against Warner at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they will take on Ipswich at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
