Volleyball Recap: Community Charter School of Cambridge Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Community Charter School of Cambridge faced off against Pioneer Charter School of Science on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-11, 25-9.

Pioneer Charter School of Science was led to victory by Alyssa Marcelino and Hanaan Minyaoui. Marcelino had 12 aces and two assists, while Minyaoui had 11 aces. Those 11 aces gave Minyaoui a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reem Lasri, who had six aces.

Community Charter School of Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pioneer Charter School of Science, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

Coming up, Community Charter School of Cambridge will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Salem Academy Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer Charter School of Science has already played their next matchup (against Collegiate Charter School of Lowell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
