Volleyball Recap: Burlington Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Burlington and Marblehead squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Burlington had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Magicians. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Magicians earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Burlington was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-15.

Kayla Walker paced Burlington's offense, picking up five kills. Walker got some help from Ula Rinkeviciute and her 14 assists.

Sydney Faris was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs. Samantha Walker also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Burlington's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5. As for Marblehead, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Burlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marblehead, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Longmeadow on the 7th.
