Volleyball Recap: Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh Comes Up Short

Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh lost against Sullivan last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 2-1. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Redskins 25-19 in the first set.

Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Taylor Williams paced Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh's offense, picking up six kills. Williams got some help from Brookelyn Gough and her nine assists. Finally, Alexis Conley kept Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh dropped their record down to 10-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sullivan, their win bumped their record up to 17-14.

Looking ahead, Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh will head out to square off against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sullivan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central A & M at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
