Northeast Academy came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Kerr-Vance Academy, but LJ Siplen wouldn't allow it. The Spartans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 59-50 on Tuesday thanks in part to Siplen, who posted 24 points along with eight boards and five assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game.

Grayson Greenway was another key player, putting up 12 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Northeast Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camden White, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Judson Smith, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Kerr-Vance Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Northeast Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kerr-Vance Academy will challenge Albemarle School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Academy, they and Southampton Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played.
