Baseball Recap: Corner Canyon Finds Playoff Glory Versus Bingham

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Corner Canyon walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Bingham Miners 2-1 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Miners on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-1 loss.

Corner Canyon's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Krew Thorn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Corner Canyon's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14. As for Bingham, they moved to 18-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Corner Canyon beat the Miners by a score of 10-5 later that day.
