Soccer Recap: Golden Gate Takes a Loss

Golden Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Lely Trojans, falling 3-0. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 last Tuesday.

Golden Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lely, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7-2.

Golden Gate and Lely could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Golden Gate (ranked 445th) will meet Oasis (ranked 182nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Lely will challenge Estero at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 192 places (308 vs. 116).
