Recap: Eastern Tech Mavericks vs. Pikesville Panthers
The Eastern Tech Mavericks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Pikesville, falling 72-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eastern Tech has scored all season.
Pikesville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mariah Jones-Bey out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Taylor, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Eastern Tech has fallen quite a ways from their 17-7 record last season and are now at 4-8. As for Pikesville, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Eastern Tech will square off against Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pikesville, they will be playing at home against St. Mary's at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
