Softball Recap: Linden's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Linden waltzed into their game on Monday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They never let the Fenton Tigers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Kayla Widner (2025)'s shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addyson Sturgis (2025), who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Morgan Piotrovsky (2025), who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Linden's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Fenton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-3-1.
