Volleyball Game Preview: Maxwell Panthers vs. Weed Cougars + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Maxwell Panthers and the Weed Cougars will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Weed took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Maxwell, who comes in off a win.

Maxwell proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Portola 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since August 23rd.

Meanwhile, Weed suffered their biggest loss since October 24, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Mt. Shasta. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost nine in a row.

Weed was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 26-24.

Maxwell now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Weed, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
