The Tuslaw Mustangs will face off against the Garaway Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tuslaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Tuslaw will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Claymont on Friday. Tuslaw walked away with a 10-7 victory over Claymont.
Andrew Shackle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tuslaw let Landen Davenport and Landon Gannet run wild. Davenport went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Gannet went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Gannet has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Stevens, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Tuslaw was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Claymont only posted a batting average of .233.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Garaway's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairless. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Pirates haven't been shut out since back in April.
Tuslaw is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Garaway, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.
Tuslaw was able to grind out a solid win over Garaway when the teams last played back in May of 2025, winning 7-3. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
