Football Recap: Alexander Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alexander Central can now relate to. They came up short against the Statesville Greyhounds on Friday, falling 28-3. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 81st).

Jaikoda Harrington had an outrageously good game for Statesville as he rushed for 49 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 143 yards and two TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Alexander Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Statesville, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Alexander Central nor the Greyhounds have any future games scheduled.
