After a string of eight wins, Hitchcock-Tulare's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wagner Red Raiders by a score of 2-1.

Cora Hofer paced Hitchcock-Tulare's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hofer got some help from Gracyn Bixler and her 25 assists. Bixler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hitchcock-Tulare's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Wagner, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Hitchcock-Tulare wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on the 27th. As for Wagner, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Winner on the 27th.
