Basketball Recap: Redlands Skates Past Pacific with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redlands). They claimed a resounding 77-45 win over the Pacific Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Terriers have posted since November 15, 2023.

Redlands had a senior duo take command as Charlie Schadwinkel went 8 for 19 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds and Kallen Gragg went 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gragg has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasen Gragg, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Redlands smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Pacific still got an impressive performance from Maurice Fitzgerald, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. That was a full 42.2% of Pacific's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Francisco Garcia was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points and three steals.

Redlands' record now sits at 2-5. As for Pacific, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Redlands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-41 defeat against Arrowhead Christian on the 13th. Pacific will take on Entrepreneur in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacific is facing Entrepreneur at the right time seeing as Entrepreneur is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
