One team took the elevator way up and another took it way down in the power rankings this week. Among the games was a one-point thriller between IC Catholic Prep and Bishop McNamara.
Can't Touch This
Willowbrook got a 42 - 13 win over Addison Trail last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Sam Tumilty. Tumilty ran for 125 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. That performance made Tumilty one of the best players in the power rankings last week.

It was a battle of top-notch squads when Naperville Central (12th in IL) took on Trinity (16th in KY) last week. Naperville Central enjoyed a cozy 38 - 20 win over Trinity. Naperville Central saw its record improve to 2-2 and its power rank jump four places as a result.
No Stoppin 'Em
Stevenson was heavily favored to win coming into its game last week, and the results showcase why. Everything went its way against Zion-Benton as it secured a 51 - 14 victory. Stevenson especially relied on senior Cole Okmin, who tossed the ball for 191 yards and four TDs, and senior Ryan Miller, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown. The combined 65 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Evanston (9th in the power rankings) and Maine South (7th). This will be the second consecutive road game for Maine South. Only one team will win this week, so we'll find out which team fails to repeat its success.
