Basketball Recap: Pell City Wins Going Away Against Huntsville

Pell City had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Huntsville 48-34 on Saturday.

Zaniya Mitchell was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 8-for-15 on her way to 20 points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Rains, who posted four points and seven boards.

Huntsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pell City will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Homewood at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huntsville, they will welcome Lee at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
