Volleyball Recap: McDermitt Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pyramid Lake last Thursday, McDermitt came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Lund Mustangs on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

McDermitt was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lund work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 27-25.

McDermitt's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lund, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McDermitt will square off against rival Eureka at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lund is set to face off against their familiar foe Carlin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
