Football Recap: Hartles Holman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cahokia over Breese Central + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cahokia can now relate to. They lost 36-12 to the Breese Central Cougars on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, the Comanches couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cahokia's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hartles Holman, who picked up 141 receiving yards and two scores. Nigel Gooden was another key player, having thrown for 250 yards and two touchdowns.

Cole Davis produced another solid performance rushing for 154 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 52 receiving yards and one TD for Breese Central. Davis showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards. Owen Kehrer was another key player, rushing for 85 yards.

Cahokia's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Breese Central, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Cahokia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Breese Central, they are taking a road trip to take on Rochester at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Rockets have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine contests.
