Football Game Preview: Patriot Warriors vs. Elsinore Tigers + How To Watch

The Patriot Warriors will square off against the Elsinore Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Patriot will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Patriot was fully in charge, breezing past Jurupa Valley 45-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Jaguars are ranked 989th).

Dax Fulmer and K'YRan Spenser were among the main playmakers for Patriot as the former rushed for 49 yards and a pair of TDs and the latter rushed for 107 yards and one score on only 11 carries. The dominant performance also gave Fulmer a new career-high in passing yards (69).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Patriot was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in 18 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Elsinore lost to Tahquitz on the road by a 44-28 margin two weeks ago. While the Tigers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Titans 14-10.

Patriot will have to contain Lataevious Hernandez as he made an impact in Elsinore's last game. He rushed for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Patriot's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Elsinore, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Patriot has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 303 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Elsinore struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 264.7 rushing yards.
