After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Myers, Cape Coral was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Oasis Sharks. The victory continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now won five in a row.

Ava Cieslinski looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Cape Coral saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brielle Pachick, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Cape Coral's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Oasis, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Coming up, Cape Coral will be taking part in a tournament against East Ridge at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Oasis, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Knights have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
