West Port lost against Forest back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The West Port Wolf Pack might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to the Forest Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wolf Pack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Port took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 26-24.

West Port lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joslynn Galvan, who hit 100% for 12 kills, five blocks, and four aces. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Keylimar Mejias, who had ten digs and three aces.

Mejias wasn't the only one working in the aces department: West Port was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive contests.

Annalise DeLabarrera went supernova for Forest, getting 21 digs and three aces. DeLabarrera is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least four every time she's taken the court this season.

West Port's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

West Port will stay at home for another game and welcome Dunnellon at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dunnellon is coming into the matchup with four straight losses on the road, meaning West Port will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Forest, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat vs. Santa Fe on the 10th.
