Football Recap: Friday's Victory Is Bloom-Carroll's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bloom-Carroll walked away with it. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Linden-McKinley Panthers on Friday.

Despite the loss, Linden-McKinley had strong showings from Emmanuel Towns, who picked up 83 receiving yards and two TDs, and Davell Brock, who threw for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Bloom-Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.4 points over those games. As for Linden-McKinley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Bloom-Carroll will square off against Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 13.5, the Panthers 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Linden-McKinley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
