Football Game Preview: Robinson Senators vs. Lakeside Rams

The Robinson Senators will take on the Lakeside Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Robinson will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Robinson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Morrilton by a score of 35-28.

A big part of Robinson's win came down to the chemistry between Reece Simpson and his top target Charles Petty. Simpson threw for 204 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Petty gained 111 total yards and a touchdown. Petty was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.

Robinson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 209 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Robinson's defense and their six sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece ( Deminio Patterson and Lennox Campos also recorded half a sack). Isiah Reese was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Lakeside faced Parkview in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rams snuck past the Patriots with a 25-21 victory.

Lakeside's win came from a few key players Robinson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Peter Ohman, who rushed for 131 yards and two TDs. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Drew Morgan also helped out with an impressive 131 receiving yards.

Robinson's record is now 13-0. As for Lakeside, their record now sits at 10-3.

Robinson strolled past Lakeside in their previous meeting back in September by a score of 35-16. Will the Senators repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
