Softball Game Preview: Pinconning Spartans vs. Central Wolves

For the second straight game, Pinconning will face off against Central. The Spartans are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Wolves at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pinconning is headed out to face Central after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Spartans walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Wolves on Wednesday.

Layla Foco made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Foco was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Pinconning let Kaylee Rugenstein and Emma McQuarter run wild. Rugenstein scored a run while going 2-for-4, while McQuarter scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Pinconning was able to grind out a solid win over Central in their previous meeting on Wednesday, winning 9-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
