It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dublin can now relate to. They lost 28-7 to the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane on Friday. The Fighting Irish were not able to make up for their defeat to the Purple Hurricane from their previous meeting back in November of 2016.

Despite the loss, Dublin still got an impressive performance from Dontavious Cannon, who rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Victor Copeland produced another solid performance rushing for 88 yards and one score on only ten carries, while also picking up 48 receiving yards and one touchdown for Fitzgerald. What's more, Copeland racked up 21 passing yards, the most he's had since back in September.

Dublin's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Fitzgerald, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Dublin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fitzgerald, they will take on Heard County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Purple Hurricane will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
