Baseball Game Preview: Aptos Mariners vs. San Lorenzo Valley Cougars

Aptos has gone 9-0-1 against San Lorenzo Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Aptos will head out on the road to take on San Lorenzo Valley at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Aptos is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell 10-7 to Mission College Prep on Saturday.

Isaiah Work made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, San Lorenzo Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Sacred Heart Prep on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 4-3.

San Lorenzo Valley also got a good showing from Marlon Braun, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Braun has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaden Shabry was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two doubles, and two RBI.

Aptos' record is now 1-5. As for San Lorenzo Valley, their record is now 1-6.
