Baseball Recap: Cinco Ranch Comes Up Short

If Cinco Ranch was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Seven Lakes last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cinco Ranch Cougars fell just short of the Central Catholic Buttons by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Cinco Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season.

Cinco Ranch will be taking part in a tournament against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Central Catholic, they will head out to challenge Episcopal at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
