Volleyball Recap: Hayworth Christian Takes a Loss

The Hayworth Christian Knights came up short against the Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18.

Kaitlyn Mullis paced Hayworth Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Mullis got some help from Ashley Jimenez and her three assists. Mullis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hayworth Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hayworth Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Victory Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian Academy will take on rival Legacy Athletics at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
