Basketball Recap: Acadiana Christian Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Acadiana Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the ARC Academy Warriors 48-33.

Acadiana Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Tabb out in front who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Tabb a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Yvette Olivier, who posted 16 points along with six boards and three steals.

Acadiana Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 33 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games dating back to last season.

Acadiana Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for ARC Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Acadiana Christian will face off against rival Faith Training Christian Academy at 2:20 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lions 17, Faith Training Christian Academy 24.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, ARC Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Midstate Homeschool at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday.
