Soccer Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

If Marion was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Manning back in April, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Swamp Foxes came up short against the Green Sea Floyds Trojans on Tuesday, falling 4-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Green Sea Floyds this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-3 defeat back in March.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Green Sea Floyds, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Green Sea Floyds, they will square off against Academic Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Academic Magnet will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
