Baseball Recap: Mountain View Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northview

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain View). They never let the Northview Titans get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Nick Clayborn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Parker Lee was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Mountain View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

The win got Mountain View back to even at 7-7. As for Northview, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will welcome Central Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View is facing Central Gwinnett at the right time seeing as Central Gwinnett is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Northview, they will be playing at home against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northview has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
