It was a good run, but Navarro unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the La Vernia Bears, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-14.

Minka Du Preez paced Navarro's offense, picking up seven kills. Du Preez got some help from Hannah Durrett and her six assists.

Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 19-17. As for La Vernia, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 35-9.
