Basketball Recap: Eric Glover Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Eustis challenged University on Friday. The Panthers snuck past the Cougars with a 78-73 victory. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 68-51 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2016.

Eustis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Glover, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Glover is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played. Jaiden Palma was another key player, shooting 54% from the field en route to 16 points along with five assists and five steals.

Despite the loss, University still got an impressive performance from Kyle Bailey, who posted 17 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Antravius Neal, who had eight points.

Eustis' record now sits at 4-1. As for University, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Eustis will head out on the road to square off against Davenport at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they will be taking part in a tournament against Central Florida Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 58.6 points per game this season.
