Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle). Their defense stepped up to hand the Capital Golden Eagles a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. Eagle haven't had any issues with Capital recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Eagle was without their leading scorer, Stella Jones, in Tuesday's matchup. With Jones sidelined, Taryn Peterman got her first action of the season.

The victory got Eagle back to even at 4-4. As for Capital, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle will square off against Ridgevue at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eagle will be up against Ridgevue's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.5 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Capital, they will face off against Timberline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timberline's defense has only allowed 0.1 goals per game this season, so Capital's offense will have their work cut out for them.
