Softball Game Preview: Buffalo Grove Bison vs. Glenbrook North Spartans

The Buffalo Grove Bison will square off against the Glenbrook North Spartans at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Buffalo Grove will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Buffalo Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Niles West by a score of 8-5 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Erin Ryan, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Sammi Wolverton was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Buffalo Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook North had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Niles West on Saturday.

Glenbrook North's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Buffalo Grove, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
