Cherryvale was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Eureka on Thursday. The Chargers put the hurt on the Tornadoes with a sharp 16-1 victory. Considering the Chargers have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cherryvale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Eureka, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cherryvale beat the Tornadoes by a score of 12-0 later that day.
