Basketball Recap: Rock Academy Skates Past High Tech CV with Ease

After only 25 points in their last matchup, Rock Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against High Tech CV on Tuesday. The Rock Academy Warriors claimed a resounding 60-26 win over the High Tech CV Bruins. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Rock Academy found their leader in freshman Brooke Rodrigues, who went 8 of 14 en route to 17 points along with seven assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodrigues has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Cassata, who went 6 of 11 en route to 12 points.

Rock Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

When it comes to explaining why High Tech CV lost, don't look at Ella Navarro. Despite the final result, she posted 26 points. Navarro's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Rock Academy pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for High Tech CV, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Rock Academy will welcome Santa Fe Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for High Tech CV, they will square off against Foothills Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Foothills Christian: 23, High Tech CV: 29.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
