The Acalanes Dons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 69-51 to Benicia. While losing is never fun, Acalanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while Benicia is ranked 137th).
When it comes to explaining why Acalanes lost, one person who can't be blamed is Liam Krackeler. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Brady Quinn was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
